You can also avail the services of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adobe.com\/express\/create\/logo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">logo maker<\/a> to do the job for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Icon marks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These types of logos are generally used by well-established and globally known brands. Think of Apple, Nike, and McDonald&#8217;s, you don&#8217;t always see the name but you know who the logo represents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designing this style of logo is the domain of experienced designers that can capture the essence of a company&#8217;s brand by using just a single image\u2014due to the reasons just mentioned they are not usually appropriate for a first-time logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wordmark<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>IBM, Disney, eBay, all use wordmark logotypes. This technique uses uniquely designed fonts and colors to represent a brand without the need of an additional icon. Logo size<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your logo will be used in many places and in different sizes, and the simpler the design, the better it will scale for use throughout your branding campaigns.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as we are talking about a logo for your website, clarity and speed of loading is most important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>File format<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Use a PNG format for a graphically designed logo as it compresses without affecting clarity, unlike a JPEG image. A PNG image will look better when used as a small header logo, and as it&#8217;s file is compressed, it will not slow down the loading time of your website.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>Image pixels<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>WordPress processes your images in a way that prevents problems with pixel distortion by generating three additional sizes: Large, medium, and thumbnail. Your picture also remains in its original scale, providing you with multiple image options throughout your website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Color<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The rule of simplicity runs throughout the logo design process, and the color is of no exception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Color speaks without words and conveys <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hubspot.com\/marketing\/psychology-of-color\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">strong subliminal messages<\/a> to the viewers. Choose ones that align with your business, your branding, and your target audience, also use no more than two colors to keep the design crisp and clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alternate shading is an effective method for minimizing colors. A white background provides versatility; however, you can use a dark background with a lightly colored logo just as effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Fonts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When first choosing a font type, consider how effectively it will scale, as it needs to be eligible for all marketing types. Next, you can think about style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same rules apply to the font as they did to color. It should align with your business, be attractive to your target market, and use no more than two fonts throughout your branding. Also think about abbreviation, as you might want to change your logo from a combination mark to a wordmark at a later stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Making a logo and adding it to your WordPress theme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You have three choices when making your logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DIY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To do this, you will need a basic level of logo design knowledge, a graphic editor like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Try to create multiple iterations before you settle on the logo you like, and show friends and family to make sure that the message of your brand is coming across through the logo. Also, bear in mind that you\u2019ll need several file types (EPS for offline printing, PNG or SVG for your WordPress site, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hire a designer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you can afford to outsource at this stage, go for it! Most of these platforms only take 5 minutes to use, and you come out with a logo that\u2019s tailored to your preferences. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tailorbrands.com\/logo-maker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">You can use a tool<\/a> to take an idea you have and conjoin it with a database packed with different design techniques, colors, fonts, and styles, all proven to work in your marketplace, and design a logo that&#8217;s ready to upload onto your WordPress site within a couple of hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to add your logo to your WordPress theme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the easy part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some WordPress themes have slightly different back end setups and the process may vary a little from one to the next. But overall, it is straightforward to do that. Click &#8220;to select image&#8221; button<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.
