Yes, but the bar has moved. The certificates teach foundational workflows; in 2026 practitioners also need to be comfortable using AI assistants inside those workflows. The newer Google programs (AI Essentials, Advanced Data Analytics) address this more directly. Complete older certs and then layer in AI-tool fluency through hands-on project work.
Do employers actually care about Google Career Certificates?

How long do they take to complete?

Should I do a Google cert or a traditional degree?
