You asked Claude Sample · numbers illustrative

“Am I indexed in Google but missing from Bing?”

  1. 1 gsc_search_analytics Search Console
  2. 2 bing_crawl_stats Bing Webmaster Tools

62 pages get Google clicks but have no Bing impressions at all. Bing reports 14 of them as blocked by robots.txt, a rule that only names bingbot.

Remove that rule and those pages can be crawled for Bing, and so for Copilot.

Why connect Bing Webmaster Tools to Claude?

Because a page Bing hasn’t indexed can’t show up in Copilot, and Search Console can’t tell you that. SiteWide reads Bing Webmaster Tools alongside Search Console, so Claude can compare the two and list the pages Google has and Bing doesn’t.

  • bing_top_queries Your own key

Top Bing queries with clicks, impressions and position. Copilot and part of ChatGPT’s web results run on Bing’s index, so this is visibility Search Console cannot show you.

  • bing_search_performance Your own key

Daily clicks, impressions, CTR and indexed-page counts from Bing Webmaster Tools.

  • bing_crawl_stats Your own key

How much of your site Bing actually holds, plus crawl errors, robots blocks, 404s and 5xxs. The tool that explains why you’re missing from Copilot answers.

Things to ask it.

Paste any of these into Claude once SiteWide is connected.

  • What are my top Bing queries this month?
  • How many of my pages does Bing actually hold?
  • Which pages does Bing fail to crawl, and why?
  • Compare my Bing and Google clicks for the same pages.
  • Did my Bing impressions change after the last deploy?

Questions about Bing Webmaster Tools and AI.

Does Bing matter for AI search?
Yes. Microsoft Copilot answers from Bing’s index, and ChatGPT’s web results draw partly on Bing. A page missing from Bing is missing from both.
Do I need a Bing Webmaster Tools account?
Yes, with your site verified in it. If you already have Search Console, Bing can import your sites from it in a couple of clicks.
Can it submit URLs to Bing?
No. The Bing tools only read. For pushing new URLs to Bing, IndexNow is the faster route.
Does it work with ChatGPT and Cursor?
Yes. Any client that supports remote MCP servers can connect: Claude (claude.ai, the desktop and mobile apps, and Claude Code), ChatGPT in developer mode, Cursor and others. Clients that support MCP’s OAuth sign in to your account; for one that doesn’t, create a token URL on your account page.
Can anyone else see my data?
No. Your account is scoped to your own sites, checked on every call. What the tools return goes straight to your assistant: it isn’t stored, sold or used to train AI models. The details are in the privacy policy.
What does it cost?
The free plan is 500 requests a month across every tool, with no card. The paid plan has no request limit and starts with 30 days free, then $9 a month at the launch price, which ends October 31, and $29 after that.
