SiteWide MCP Google Ads

Google Ads MCP for Claude and ChatGPT.

Ask Claude where your Google Ads budget goes: spend and ROAS by campaign, the search terms that never convert, and Quality Score broken into its parts. One Google sign-in, nothing to install, and SiteWide never changes a campaign.

Free: 500 requests a month, no card. Paid: $9/mo after 30 days free.

You asked Claude Sample · numbers illustrative

“Which search terms spent money last month and never converted, and do we already rank for any of them?”

  1. 1 ads_search_terms Google Ads
  2. 2 gsc_search_analytics Search Console

41 search terms spent $1,870 with zero conversions. The biggest is “free crm template” at $412.

You already rank top 3 organically for 9 of them, worth $640 of that spend. They’re candidates for negatives, since the organic result catches the click anyway.

Can Claude connect to Google Ads?

Yes, through MCP. SiteWide is a hosted MCP server: paste one URL into Claude’s Settings → Connectors, sign in with the Google account that can see your Ads account, and Claude can report on campaigns, keywords and search terms.

Google also publishes an official Google Ads MCP server. It’s a read-only Python server you run yourself or deploy to Cloud Run, with your own Google Cloud project and OAuth client.

The Google Ads tools.

You never call them by name. Ask the question and Claude picks the tool.

All SiteWide tools →
  • ads_account_summary Google sign-in

Account totals over a range: spend, impressions, clicks, CTR, average CPC, conversions, conversion value, cost per conversion and ROAS. Reads the Ads API directly, so it isn’t limited to what GA4 imported.

  • ads_campaigns Google sign-in

Campaigns with budget, status, bid strategy and performance, ranked by spend.

  • ads_search_terms Google sign-in

What people actually typed, versus the keywords you bid on. Filter to terms that spent money and converted zero times — your negative-keyword list, written for you.

  • ads_keywords Google sign-in

Keyword performance with quality score and all three of its components, so you can see whether the problem is the ad, the landing page, or the expected CTR.

Things to ask it.

Paste any of these into Claude once SiteWide is connected.

  • Which campaigns had the worst cost per conversion this month?
  • List search terms that spent over $50 with zero conversions.
  • Which keywords have a Quality Score under 5, and which component is the problem?
  • Do we pay for clicks on queries we already rank #1 for organically?
  • How did ROAS move week over week, by campaign?
  • Which manager-account clients spent the most this quarter?

Connected in about a minute.

No Google Cloud project, no JSON key, nothing to install.

Questions about Google Ads and AI.

Is there an official Google Ads MCP server?
Yes. Google publishes one (googleads/google-ads-mcp). It’s read-only and runs in Python, locally or on Cloud Run, with your own Google Cloud project. Since Google retired developer tokens in September 2026, it no longer needs one.
Can it change my campaigns or budgets?
No. Google’s Ads permission covers reading and editing, because Google offers no read-only version, but SiteWide’s Ads tools only read. None of them can pause a campaign, change a bid or edit an ad.
Does it work with a manager (MCC) account?
Yes. It lists the client accounts your login can reach through a manager account, so you can pick the right one for each site.
Why does Google show an “unverified app” warning?
Google reviews every app that asks for Google Ads access. Until it finishes reviewing SiteWide, the consent screen shows that warning: click Advanced, then continue.
Does it work with ChatGPT and Cursor?
Yes. Any client that supports remote MCP servers can connect: Claude (claude.ai, the desktop and mobile apps, and Claude Code), ChatGPT in developer mode, Cursor and others. Clients that support MCP’s OAuth sign in to your account; for one that doesn’t, create a token URL on your account page.
Can anyone else see my data?
No. Your account is scoped to your own sites, checked on every call. What the tools return goes straight to your assistant: it isn’t stored, sold or used to train AI models. The details are in the privacy policy.
What does it cost?
The free plan is 500 requests a month across every tool, with no card. The paid plan has no request limit and starts with 30 days free, then $9 a month at the launch price, which ends October 31, and $29 after that.
