“Which videos grew the channel this month, and where did their views come from?”

  1. 1 youtube_channel_report YouTube Analytics

Two videos brought 61% of new subscribers. Both got most of their views from YouTube search, while the rest of the channel relies on suggested videos.

Search-led topics are working: plan the next two around queries people search.

Can Claude read YouTube Analytics?

Yes, through MCP. SiteWide reads the YouTube Analytics report for the channel your Google login owns. It never uploads, edits or comments.

Questions about YouTube and AI.

Can it see other people’s channels?
No. YouTube Analytics only reports on channels your own Google login owns or manages.
Does it show audience retention for a video?
Not today. It reports average view duration, not the second-by-second retention curve.
Does it work with ChatGPT and Cursor?
Yes. Any client that supports remote MCP servers can connect: Claude (claude.ai, the desktop and mobile apps, and Claude Code), ChatGPT in developer mode, Cursor and others. Clients that support MCP’s OAuth sign in to your account; for one that doesn’t, create a token URL on your account page.
Can anyone else see my data?
No. Your account is scoped to your own sites, checked on every call. What the tools return goes straight to your assistant: it isn’t stored, sold or used to train AI models. The details are in the privacy policy.
What does it cost?
The free plan is 500 requests a month across every tool, with no card. The paid plan has no request limit and starts with 30 days free, then $9 a month at the launch price, which ends October 31, and $29 after that.
